Black Currants
A deeply aromatic, distinctively flavored fruit, black currants are not meant to be eaten fresh. This fruit,
a member of the ribes family, is a favorite in all of northern Europe, but especially the
UK. The season is from early to mid-July. Our crop is sold fresh, frozen or used
to make our Black Currant Jelly and Cordial. This rather uncommon fruit also makes excellent
aperitifs and wines. |
