Yesterday, for my Birthday, my husband took me to your quaint lil cafe. So beautiful & peaceful there. The raspberry smoothie was to die for. Thank you for helping to make my birthday memorable.

Just got back from my yearly trip to SHB. Every year there is something new. What a wonderful place you have! Just delightful! And the ice cream is out of this world.

22 ladies from our red hat group had a late luncheon at Sandberries in June . I cannot say enough about your place. It was such a wonderful place that we plan on going again in the fall! The service was excellent (you even stayed open late for us)! The food was good: the portions were so big that I could not eat all of mine. The pies are absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We visited the wine shop and tasted the wines and bought out every pie from the pie shop! It is such a great place for a "red hat outing". We give it a 5 star!

Your winery grand opening was so well organized! A great event. I've tasted Cabernet sauvignon at many of the wineries in the state. Your's is the best one I've found. At many wineries it's too spicy or peppery. Your's is just right! And your Blackberry wine, yum!
And I thought the pies were worth the trip!

I love all your products!! I have been going to a farmers market and buying pies, jams and cookies every week. I'm getting spoiled! These are best berries ever!

The service is great also!

My wife, Zeena, and I had the pleasure of attending Gelsey and Neil's wedding in May. Neil was my college housemate. It was a beautiful fairytale affair! We have been back to the farm twice since for the wonderful glazed pies! In June, our family endured a sad tragedy, where my uncle and cousin passed away in a car accident near Akron, Ohio. We have been back to Ohio each weekend since the accident and stop by the farm for glazed pies on our way. In light of this difficult time, please know that your wonderful pies are putting smiles on the faces of my family members. For that, I can't thank you enough. We believe that my uncle and cousin are sharing these pies with us in heaven. because I'm sure that is the dessert of choice in heaven! Truly heavenly.

Thank you for making our visit to the farm so special! A stumble upon SH Berries at Pitt-Southside Farmer's Market a few weeks ago turned our 6/30 farm visit into an afternoon of farm memories, surprise rhubarb pie delivery, a fabulous shared piece of blackberry pie, and lovely conversation with Sally. You all are terrific hosts, growers, and pie makers! Delightfully spreading the word and looking forward to our return.

We have fallen in love with your beautiful farm, your desserts, berries and the great service you provide. Looking forward to the winery. We enjoyed listening to your son play his violin. It was our second trip and we plan to come back again & again.

A note from BG
I just want to take a minute to thank you so very much for packing and sending my custom packages to my 2 aunts and uncles in Ohio. They absolutely loved everything about them. I chose some jellies, raspberry vingerette, syrup, dishtowels and some other items to be sent to them. I then chose the largest Santa box for them to be packaged up in and sent. You did a fantastic job and everything arrived in perfect condition.
The bow around the box was beautiful. I was able to make a trip to Ohio over the holidays and my one aunt had the box with the bow back around it set up around a tree. It was so pretty. I loved the idea of being able to send something local versus someplace I found on the internet. It seems so much more personal.
Thank you again.

OHMYGOSH! These cookies are sinfully wonderful. I was trying to be good and wasn't going to take any when one of them jumped out of the basket into my hands. What was I to do? I thought to myself, "Well, I'll only take a bite and save the rest for stressful times throughout the day." Little did I know that my tastebuds would be jumping for joy and the whole thing is almost gone. The flavor is to die for and they are sooooo moist. YUM! YUM! YUM!

When can we expect to tast the fine fruit wines?
14 November 2006 - Ohio

Webmaster comments   We are planning for Spring 2007! Progress is pretty good right now. We have to have our final inspection by the Liquor Control Board before we are allowed to ferment, but fruit wines fermentations are relatively short compared to grape wines. We will have some grape wines, initially, with juice purchased from Lake Erie grape growers.

I was in this last weekend for the 1st time & I was very impressed. The open house was great fun & the music (Brad Yoder) was wonderful! I raved about the raspberry apple cider to everyone!

Webmaster comments   I wish we could have had the music outside but the high winds prevented it. Brad is an annual event on Sundays at the Open House....please come back!!

I miss Sand Hill Berries!
I used to shop at your store several years ago when I lived in Jeannette, Pa. Now I moved to Navajo, Arizona but I will certainly buy your products from your online store.
I will visit you whenever I will be next time in PA. It's been almost 5 years since I was in PA.
Greetings from a ranch in Navajo, Arizona
